Providing Security Services Training

Providing Security Services Training

This accredited qualification is designed for those working in the security industry. There are four possible pathways that learners can follow:
General, CCTV, Static and Patrol Guarding and Door Supervision.

This qualification forms the competency component of the Apprenticeship Providing Security Services Apprenticeship.

Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

The Providing Security Services Apprenticeship states that PLTS must be assessed as part of the apprenticeship framework. In order to show how the PLTS have been achieved, it is suggested that assessors use the PLTS matrix document listing where the evidence can be found.
This document can be downloaded from the Skills for Security website

Most of the PLTS are covered within the mandatory units of the Level 2 Certificate in Providing Security Services (QCF). The remaining PLTS are covered within the ERR (Employee Rights and Responsibilities) workbook.

For those learners undertaking the Providing Security Services Apprenticeship, a workbook has been designed by Skills for Security for centres to download free of charge to cover the employment rights and responsibilities.
This can be found on the Skills for Security website

This workbook forms part of the Providing Security Services apprenticeship. It helps the learner to understand their rights and responsibilities as a person employed in the security services sector.

There is also an Apprenti-kit produced by Highfield which can be used by learners to gather evidence of Personal Learning and Thinking Skills through the completion of activities and it also contain a generic Employment right and responsibilities Handbook.
